Ethiopian legend Kenenisa Bekele came 11th in his most recent outing last weekend in Edinburgh, finishing well off the pace set by Asbel Kiprop in a race many would have expected him to win, especially after the way he has demolished all comers at the same venue in impressive style in previous years. Kenyan Asbel Kiprop took the Men’s 3000m title at the BUPA Great Edinburgh Cross Country as an out of sorts Double Olympic champion Kenenisa Bekele wound up finishing well down in 11th place. There were also wins for Spaniard Ayad Lamdassem in the Men’s 8000m, and Irishwoman Fionnuala Britton in the Women’s 6000m. [...]
